Modernized automated flight control system was FAA certified in 2011

Lake Oswego, OR –Stilwell Baker announced that it has been chosen by Erickson Air-Crane to supply production Automatic Flight Control System units for EAC’s S64 helicopter fleet. The modernized automated flight control system was developed jointly by the two companies in 2010 and was certified by the FAA in March of 2011.
Erickson Air-Crane holds the type certificate for the S-64, which it acquired from Sikorsky in 1992. The company currently supports 28 S64s worldwide, including 16 in their own fleet. Erickson also builds S64s and adds to this fleet with each newly constructed aircraft.
